Domestic Partnerships

When two persons of the “same sex,” wish to join together but do not wish to marry, they might become domestic partners. If you are in a domestic partnership, and you wish to dissolve your domestic partnership, you may proceed in a similar manner as though you were in marital relationship and have similar rights and responsibilities as though you were spouses. In some instances, there is a simplied procedure available for dissolution of your domestic partnership (just as between spouses, in some instances, there is a simplied summary procedure available).
